Big Sean Is the First Rapper to Perform at the White House! (VIDEO)

Amid all of his relationship drama — you know, calling off his engagement with Glee star Naya Rivera — there are good things happening with Big Sean these days. He just made the history books by being the first rapper to perform at the White House, and Ariana Grande deserves all the thanks.

As TMZ points out, it’s a little crazy to think that Jay Z, Kanye West, and Lil Wayne haven’t had the opportunity to perform at the historic address. Big Sean and Ariana took the stage at the annual Easter Egg Roll the day after the holiday, on Monday (April 21).

While arriving at the event, cameras caught up with the duo — most likely together to perform “Right There.” One cameraman asks Big Sean how it feels to be the first rapper to play the White House, but the hip hop star wasn’t playing games. “How do you think it feels?” he answered.

Ever since Big Sean and Naya called off their wedding plans, the two have mostly remained silent. At least the rapper’s professional life is still chugging along even if his romantic life has halted.

Are you surprised that Big Sean is the first rapper to play the White House? Should it have been someone else? Hit the comments and let us know!

Glee airs Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. ET on FOX.
