Biggest Loser Rachel Frederickson Gained 20 Pounds — See Her “Perfect Weight” (VIDEO)

When you become a celebrity, you’re sort of damned if you do and damned if you don’t. No matter how you present yourself physically, there’s always going to be someone who has something negative to say. And Biggest Loser winner Rachel Frederickson found that out first hand when she found herself at the center of a controversy a couple months back, following her dramatic weight loss.

But it looks like that’s all behind her now, as the 24-year-old, who spoke with Us Weekly this week, is healthy and looking better than ever!

Back in February when Rachel clinched the NBC weight loss competition title, she was down to a mere 105 pounds, from her 260 pound starting weight, causing a public outcry that the show had made her go too far. However, in the two months since the finale aired, the voice over artist has put some weight and couldn’t be happier about it.

“I've gone up about 20 pounds," she reveals to the mag, adding, "I think I'm at my perfect weight!"

A former athlete, Rachel is back up to 125 pounds, and she’s looking to stay there. How is she doing that? By maintaining a diet and fitness routine — albeit one much more relaxed than the multi-hour per day regimen she was following before her final weigh-in.

"I work out an hour, six days a week. I love classes like SoulCycle," Rachel details. "I also loosely count calories, but sometimes I might eat an Oreo. It's not the end of the world."

She also keeps motivated through monthly calls with the other contestants, and her show psychologist. She also has access to the nutritionist 24-7, and will often call her up for healthy cooking tips.

At the end of the day, despite all of the negativity she’s endured, Rachel still sees the backlash as “a gift.”

"It started a discussion about body image," she says. "That's huge.”
