Though Rachel Frederickson’s Biggest Loser win on February 4 may have caused some controversy with her record-breaking 155-pound weight loss, it’s clear that whatever she’s doing is working. The 24-year-old is now sharing the diet and exercise regimen she followed to get down to a size 0/2 and, as expected, it was pretty extensive!
In a Wednesday interview, Rachel shared that she’s been working out pretty much all day to get the tiny physique she’s now rocking. "Well, when I'm walking, and I'm working on my treadmill, I work you know, kind of all day," she dished.
And beyond walking and running, the voice-over artist also has been taking up to four fitness classes a day: "And then, you know, I would take 3 to 4 classes a day and have fun with all the people in the room. It was pretty cool. I'd be in Zumbas and I'd be in spin class."
Whoa! How does one have a life? Given that this was all leading up the big finale, so it’s unlikely that Rachel’s returned fully to her normal life. But still…
As for daily food intake, the Biggest Loser admitted that she eats around 1,600 calories a day — which is apparently “maintenance” mode. So how will she keep up with her new body? "I'm going to try new exercises and continue on this path and see where it takes me — finding that balance!"
Rachel was also asked about her reaction to people saying she looked “too skinny” during the finale, and she somewhat skirted the question:
"You know, I think I have been on this seven-and-a-half month journey on The Biggest Loser and I went to The Biggest Loser to find that confident girl again. I was that national-level athlete and I lost her and I missed her and, little by little, competition by competition, I saw her come out and I loved being in that triathlon and win that to be in the finale."
We’re just happy if you’re happy, Rach!
