True Blood: Bill Compton & Sookie Stackhouse’s 7 Best Moments
With True Blood going into its final season, we can anticipate tons of tense (and maybe even romantic?) moments between former star-crossed lovers, Sookie Stackhouse and Bill Compton. Even though Season 6 of the hit show ended with Ms. Stackhouse starting a new life and relationship with former pack leader Alcide Herveaux, we have to admit that we still have a soft spot for the Bill and Sookie ‘ship — even though he did betray her and become a vampire god.
Bill and Sook’s first meeting during the series premiere was so sexually charged, we couldn’t control ourselves. Sookie is immediately drawn in by Bill’s supernatural nature, as well as the comfort he provides her because she can not read his mind. After Sookie saves him from being drained by the Rattrays in the parking lot, these two begin to grow a bond. And that bond intensified when Bill in turn saved Sookie from a near fatal beating by the Rattrays the following night. From that moment, we knew those two would have a connection that they couldn’t ever run away from.
Sookie Loses Her Virginity to Bill
What’s more special than a girl’s first time between the sheets? Apparently doing the dead with a vampire. For the first half of Season 1, we watched Bill and Sook’s pent up sexual tension come to a head and by Season 1, episode 6 “Cold Ground” these two were getting it on in front of Bill’s fireplace.
Bill and Sookie Babysit Arlene’s Children
We all know the unfortunate result of being in a relationship with a fanger — kids are definitely not a possibility… as least in the True Blood world. So, when we got to see Bill and Sook show off their parental skills pre-Jessica in Season 1, episode 8 “The Fourth Man in the Fire”, we couldn’t help but love the couple.
Bill and Sookie Spend Quality Time at Hotel Carmilla
One of the highlights of Sookie and Bill’s relationship was their time spent at the Carmillia hotel in Season 2. It was the first time the couple was able to spend more than just nighttime hours with each other, however, they spend the hours engaged in all sorts of nighttime activities…
Quite possibly the best moment in Season 2, had to be the Season 2 finale in which Bill wined and dined Sook at a fancy French restaurant and then asked her to join him in (what can only be described as an unorthodox) marriage. Of course, we were thrilled when Sookie (after retiring to the ladies’ room) came to the conclusion that she would say yes. However, the moment was short lived as Bill was kidnapped just moments before Sookie could give her answer.
Bill and Sookie Reconcile After Fighting Debbie Pelt
The first half of Season 3 was pretty brutal for all Bill and Sookie fans. Not only was Bill kidnapped, but he told her that he didn’t want to see her again, engaged in rage-filled sex with his maker, Lorena, and then nearly killed Sookie during his escape. We thought the couple would never get back together, until we saw episode 8: “Night on the Sun” when Russell Edgington and his were goons launched a full scale attack at the Stackhouse household. In all the melee, Debbie Pelt (Alcide’s former girlfriend) attacks Sookie, who in turn handles herself. It’s after this bloody brawl where Sook realizes that she still loves him… and they have hot steamy sex on the wooden floorboards.
Sookie and Bill Make Love One Last Time… With Eric
By the end of Season 3, we’ve come to the realization that Bill and Sookie are completely dunzo. And by Season 4, Sookie’s so wrapped up in Eric Northman, we hardly have time to think of Bill. But we get one last moment between the two… in a pretty erotic threesome between the sexy Viking and the Civil War vet in Season 4, episode 9: “Let’s Get Out of Here” where she admits she’s in love with both men. This is quite possibly the last time we would ever see Bill and Sookie together, although it’s possible we may see Sook back in yet another love triangle with her ex during True Blood’s seventh and final season.
But we have to admit, if this was the final time we’d see Sook and Bill together, we’re happy that Eric got in on the action. Hey, don’t judge us — a little bit of Eric makes everything better.
