The Blacklist’s Diego Klattenhoff Made His Film Debut in Which Teen Comedy?

Have you ever found yourself watching The Blacklist and wondering “Where do I know Diego Klattenhoff (Agent Donald Ressler) from?” We feel that. At first we thought it was for his role as Brody’s bestie Mike Faber on Homeland, but definitely goes back further. Turns out Diego had an important role in one of our favorite teen comedies of all time!

But which one? Well, that’s what Wetpaint asked Viggle users during Monday night’s episode of The Blacklist. And, judging from the results, this turned out to be quite a stumper. Just over 34 percent guessed that Diego made his big-screen debut alongside fellow hotties Heath Ledger and Joseph Gordon Levitt in 10 Things I Hate About You. Nearly as many people — a hair under 34 percent — thought it was She’s All That. Both good guesses, but so wrong!

The correct answer? Mean Girls! Around 32 percent of Viggle users get a hearty “You go Glenn Coco!” for knowing that Diego’s first big screen role was in the most quotable movie of the aughts. He plays Shane Oman, aka the guy Regina George cheats on Aaron Samuels with (every Thursday, in the projection room above the auditorium).

The former Spring Fling King has since traded his crown for a badge. Since his 2004 film debut, Diego has played a ton of law enforcement and military roles, leading up to his current turn as the steely-eyed FBI agent with a vendetta against Raymond “Red Reddington (James Spader).
