Blake Shelton Organizes a Relief Concert For Oklahoma Victims

At the start of The Voice live results show on May 21, Blake Shelton and his wife Miranda Lambert sang the hit song they co-wrote, “Over You,” in honor of the victims of the Oklahoma tornadoes. But that won’t be the last time Blake turns to national television to honor the victims and those left behind.

According to Billboard, the Oklahoma native is organizing a relief concert, similar to the one Christina Aguilera participated in for the victims of Hurricane Sandy.

"We'll know more about it in the next 24 hours," Shelton said. "I'm hoping it will raise a lot of money. Obviously it will be televised and will happen really quickly."

Obviously Blake’s connections will help him bring in the big guns.

"I can call in some really big favors," he said pointing to fellow coach, Usher.

Chances are the event will broadcast on NBC thanks to Blake’s connections. Blake also had a televised Christmas special last winter on the network.
