When corresponding with a celeb on Twitter, you might wonder whether it’s actually them or some assistant (read: minion) doing their bidding. With The Voice’s Blake Shelton, you can not only be certain it’s him, but you better not challenge his ideas on the current music scene –– or else!

In a rather bizarre Twitter rant, some of Blake’s followers tried to say that Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber are simply products of P.R. Apparently, Blake is a huge Belieber, as he replied with the following tweets:

“You can't sell records with publicity or hype. No matter what anyone says. People buy music because they're moved by the song or artist..”

“@RachelRSL: Disagree: Bieber = nothing but publicity & hype.”

Oh!!! Because YOU don't like him…”

Them are fightin’ words! And, as for the queen of all twerking’s critics, Blake had some more opinions to offer. When @planet12law tried to claim, “Miley Cyrus album was only top billing because she…,” Blake tweeted back, “Billing didn’t make her album #1. People paying for it did.”

He then added, “Also @planet12law...Side note: I personally think “Wrecking Ball” is a great song..”

Blake then agreed with fellow Twitter follower @alour, who tweeted, “@blakeshelton @planet12law And people paid for it because, despite any shenanigans, the music itself is decent.”

In response to this, Blake simply tweeted, “Exactly!!”

With only 140 characters at his disposal, the usually even-keeled Voice judge certainly let the haters know that he thinks both Miley and the Biebs are the real deal. Who knew he was so staunchly in their corners? Don’t make him come at you with a wrecking ball!
