Bones fans of the internet, listen up. We have good news — and we have not-so-good news. Fox chairman Kevin Reilly all-but-confirmed on January 13 that the network’s long running crime drama will be renewed for Season 10. However, he added that it’s extremely likely that this landmark season will also be Bones’ last.

TV Line reports the news, which comes straight from the Television Critics Association winter press tour. Kevin said that while Bones’ renewal date is is still being figured out, “I would anticipate it will be back.”

When Brennan and her husband — we still love calling him that! — do return, though, it will be with one noticeable difference. Hart Hanson, the show’s creator and executive producer, will have left the series to focus full time on his new series, Backstorm. (The procedural, which will also air on Fox, stars Office funnyman Rainn Wilson.)

Instead of Hart at the helm, his longtime partner-in-crime (and executive producer) Stephen Nathan will be captaining the ship solo.

And while  no decision has been made as to an official end date for the series, Kevin says that it seems “likely” that Bones will end after Season 10.
