Have you heard of the Fox Writers Intensive? Well, neither had we, but it looks like a pretty cool idea. Ten lucky winners (picked out of a group of over three hundred applicants) get to take part in “a four-month curriculum focused on developing original material, honing writing skills for multiple mediums… [and learning] the ins and outs of the business.” So it’s sort of like an internship, but Fox gets to corner the market on staff diversity at the same time (assuming any of these folks gets hired).

Now why would we bring this shindig to your attention? Why, because one of the gurus to head these writing workshops is none other than Bones creator Hart Hanson! As to what Hanson has to say about his spot in this distinguished list of screenwriters (among them Lauren Andries of Supernatural and Cherry Chevapravatdumrong of Family Guy)... well, mum’s the word so far. But we imagine that Hanson will provide an important voice in this diversity-centered program. After all, he’s got the dead people perspective all locked up!
