Calling the Bones season finale a cliffhanger is like saying fried food is bad for you: obvi! Despite being the understatement of the TV season, it is accurate to call it one of the season’s best cliffhangers, like TV Guide recently did in a gallery highlighting 20 show endings deserving of the same honor.

Others joining the ranks of the Brennan-Booth pregnancy shocker include Barney getting married in How I Met Your Mother, the surprise shooting in Castle, and Christina and Meredith’s double whammy baby-daddy drama in Grey’s Anatomy.

TV Guide offered up kudos to Bones for finally putting Booth (David Boreanaz) and Brennan (Emily Deschanel) together after six long seasons — although they stopped short of acknowledging a particular part of someone’s anatomy for it. But now that they’re expecting a child together, the magazine, much like the fans, hopes they can survive the baby bumps that are ahead.
