Booth (David Boreanaz) and Brennan (Emily Deschanel) will have been apart for months by the time Bones comes back for its Season 8 premiere on September 17. And while it’s true that absence does make the heart grow fonder, it also tends to make long-separated couples start feeling a bit... frisky.

When B&B first meet, his very first move is to swing her around and promptly straddle her haven’t you seen the promo video? From all we can tell, this reunion scene is very action packed and chemistry charged. What’s more, Bones executive producers say it only turned out so physical because both Emily and David asked for it that way!

During a conference call on September 5, Bones creator Hart Hanson revealed that the two leading actors definitely enjoyed their playful little reunion romp.

“They did have fun!” Hart says. “We had written one reunion, and they came and said Can we go a little farther with this? So we upped the, um, let’s say the energy of them seeing each other again.”

The energy? Is that what the kids are calling it these days?

Now, exactly how sexual this encounter will get still remains to seen. Knowing Booth and Brennan, this whole situation could end up being more about the implied chemistry of the romp than anything else.

Allow Hart to clarify a bit: “They just wanted to wreck a little more furniture,” he says of the actor’s requests. “David’s really strong, and Emily’s very strong and limber, herself. They are mighty, those two.”

Okay, fine. May B&B won’t exactly be getting busy on the floor of that old motel room like we thought. Though, we would like to point out that this is the exact scene David referred to earlier when he tweeted that Bones was "Shooting on True bloods turf tonight."

And when it comes to sexy, raunchy love scenes, it really doesn’t get much better than True Blood

September 17. September 17. September 17... we’re waiting.
