Considering there’s still so much that’s been unsaid between Booth (David Boreanaz) and Brennan (Emily Deschanel), one would expect tonight’s honesty episode to bring them closer together. But from the looks of these sneak peeks, it may do the exact opposite.

In Bones Season 6, Episode 20, an advertising exec is found buried in a planter of dirt. Booth and Brennan discover that their victim had recently angered his friends and family by joining a Radical Honesty group committed to telling the truth at all times.

Brennan sees “no reason why telling the truth would be considered aggressive,” which really doesn’t surprise us, considering Brennan has no filter. Brennan questions her partner on whether he’s ever lied to her, but Booth isn’t ready to ‘fess up just yet.

What he does admit — when facing a pushy counselor-type and a hostile clown — may surprise you. We’re not quite sure how his partner feels about the revelation, but it garners him a round of applause from the women in the audience (and we’d be lying if we said we didn’t cheer a little, too).
