With Bones still in mega-hibernation mode for over a month to come, we can’t be blamed for looking elsewhere for our television fix. What might come as a shock, though, is that this affliction extends even to some Bones cast members themselves!

See for example David Boreanaz (Booth), who’s been keeping a close eye on the two-season TV hit Downton Abbey. With Downton’s season finale fresh in viewers’ eyes and news of a Roaring Twenties-style Season 3 to come, Boreanaz has decided to throw his hat into the British program (programme?)’s ring. And perhaps not surprisingly, it’s a ten-gallon hat.

“I’d like to be that American cowboy who shakes things up at Downton Abbey,” Boreanaz tweeted. “I’m open for a visit from [series creator] Mr. [Julian] Fellowes.”

So who would like to see Boreanaz as an early 1920s cowboy? Heck, if he’s carrying a gun, then we Bones fans won’t have too much trouble recognizing him, will we?
