David Boreanaz Action Film Picked Up at Cannes 2012

Exciting news! David Boreanaz fans will get to see their favorite small screen star on the big screen soon! Variety reports that after a screening at Cannes Film Festival, Anchor Bay Entertainment bought David’s new action film Officer Down. According to the film synopsis Officer Down “follows a rogue police officer who, in order to pay back old debts, seeks revenge against the men responsible for a young woman's death.”

David stars as detective Les Scanlon alongside Stephen Dorff and James Woods. No word yet on when we can expect to see Officer Down in theatres, but the distribution deal is for “all English-speaking territories.”

Despite his years of catching criminals on Bones as (Agent Seeley Booth), this is David’s first action movie role. Die-hard fans of David’s know his very first film role was in the 2001 schlocky slasher film Valentine.
