We’ve got both good news and bad news for Bones fans. The good news is that David Boreanaz made The Huffington Post’s list of “Television’s Most Memorable Male Detectives Of All Time.” The bad news? Well...it wasn’t for his role as Agent Booth.
Indeed, HuffPo saw fit to sound the twenty-one-gun salute for Angel, the teenage(ish) vampire taking tweenville by storm well before Edward Cullen ever started sparkling. If you ask us, there’s no denying that his five-seasons of vampire detective work merit plenty of praise.
Not only was Angel practically unbeatable, but he had heart. Only a truly awesome investigator would say something like, “All I wanna do is help. I wanna help because, I don't think people should suffer as they do. Because, if there's no bigger meaning, then the smallest act of kindness is the greatest thing in the world.”
So Angel, with his kindness and unbeatable strength, deserves to make the cut. What about Booth, though? Where is he on the list of TV’s most memorable male detectives? Even loyal fans might argue that Booth hasn’t had enough time to earn the required seasoning for such a pantheon...but on the other hand, HuffPo saw fit to include quite a few contemporary sleuths.
So what do you think? Did Booth unfairly get the short end of the stick on this one?
