Remember when David Boreanaz (Booth) had the interview of his career last month?  (No, we’re not talking about his recent prurient tell-all.)  Well now there’s another plucky amateur reporter up to bat at the Boreanaz plate — and this time, it’s his Bones costar.

Much as some of us might like to see their characters lie down together, Philadelphia Style contented itself to have Emily Deschanel (Brennan) and David sit down together for an interview. The three-page exposé covers a wide range of topics, from his childhood to his acting inspiration to his new movie, The Mighty Macs. (Check out the trailer and David’s snazzy side part here.)

Now, we’ve got to be honest: Emily could use a little coaching in staying on topic.  For example, here’s how she phrases her first question (emphasis added): “Your dad was a famous and very handsome weatherman. My grandmother would say that—very handsome. Did he inspire you to get into television?” Oh, Em. Gotta love her.

Bones fans might have a small heart-attack when Emily brings up the “[i]f Bones ends” question, although, admittedly, it’s nice to know what we could expect from the stars if that day were to come.

On a lighter note, David declares that he’s a big fan of “Paul Smith socks” — a footwear fetish we’ve come to know (and love) about him over the years.  And while designer names Dolce & Gabbana, Valentino and Brioni inspire his style, the Philly native reveals that it was his close proximity to Broadway that inspired him to be an actor.

“That was a big experience for me. Summers at the Jersey Shore. Eating downtown—especially in the Italian Market area, with the homemade cannolis. The Mummers parade. And doing Hello, Dolly! in my eighth-grade school play. [Starts singing]”

Well IF Bones ever ends...maybe he should consider a stint on another Fox show, hmm? (Just a thought.)
