In a nod to “why are we still talking about this” newscasting, David Boreanaz  told TV Week that admitting his marital infidelities last year turned out to be a “bonding experience, in the long run” with wife Jaime Bergman.

“In a sacred ground like marriage,” Boreanaz said, “you find yourself out of it at certain times for reasons unknown that can be destructive[.]” If by “it” Boreanaz means “my pants,” then yeah, that makes sense in his case. “There could be a demon that kind of comes out and overtakes you.”

On the one hand, we guess that if a journalist asks you a question — even about a year-plus-old affair — you’re kind of obligated to answer unless you want to look like a jerk. On the other, though, readers may recall that Boreanaz fessed up only after “one of his mistresses threatened to expose him if he didn’t pay her to keep quiet.” Sounds a bit more like a “sorry I got caught” moment than a Scarlet Letter one, if you know what we mean.

The important part, though, is that Bergman forgave her roving husband, and they appear to be doing just fine now. Even Bergman’s mother got on the healing bandwagon: “It’s not just David and Jaime that want to work through this[;] it’s everyone that knows and loves them[.]” So we’ll just try to keep our mouths shut from here on out.

...But come on! Who cheats on a former Playboy Playmate?!  Deep breaths, everyone..deep breaths.
