Uh-oh, what would Brennan (Emily Deschanel) have to say about this? The mythical chupacabra — the same bloodsucking creature of contention in Season 6, Episode 18’s “The Truth in the Myth” — was found dead in Helotes, Texas, according to Zap2It.

The hairless animal, which was discovered on the side of the road, bears a close resemblance to the one of mythical fame. The person who discovered the carcass described it as having “red eyes, big old fangs, and claws coming out, just as sharp as they could be.” Sounds a lot like the one we saw on Bones. Of course cynical (and scientific) Brennan said the cryptid — “a creature not yet recognized by scientific consensus,” according to Hodgins (TJ Thyne) — was “a myth that didn’t need disproving because they don’t exist.”

But if you ask Bones creator Hart Hanson, it’s the show that brought it into existence. After hearing the news, he tweeted, “We write it on Bones and… it happens!”

Well if that’s the case, does that mean the B&B wedding we wrote about will also come to fruition? Hey, anything is possible.

Check out footage of the (alleged) chupacabra below — if you dare:
