If you thought Give Me My Remote was finished interviewing Bones executive producer Hart Hanson and writer Carla Kettner two weeks ago, think again!  With part two fresh and still hot, GMMR is proving a godsend in these, the still-too-numerous days before Bones’s seventh season premieres on November 3.

First, some stalwart reassurance from Kettner on continued lovin’ between Sweets (John Francis Daley) and Daisy (Carla Gallo): “They belong together.  These two will be together forever, as far as I’m concerned.”  In a relationship redolent of cheating with strangers and sudden, dispassionate breakups, that’s news to us!

Meanwhile, things are more or less the same with Cam (Tamara Taylor), who GMMR fans think needs a bit more attention from the Bones writers.  (We agree!)  With Tiffany Hines’s character on Nikita six feet under, we can expect some heartwarming inter-character development between Cam and her adopted daughter, Michelle, in Season 7.  The rest of Cam’s day (for now, at least) will be spent supervising Finn Abernathy (Luke Kleintank), the mischievous and unpredictable new squintern.

Hanson, for his part, is staying characteristically silent on the gender of Booth (David Boreanaz)’s and Brennan (Emily Deschanel)’s baby.  He at least condescends to assure us that the baby is born at all -- “I didn’t even want to let them know [that]” -- so thank goodness for small favors.  But Hanson’s got his lips zipped to the point where he refuses to release even the name, which “will tell [us] the gender.”  Bones fans, start your gender-neutral name-eliminating engines: it can’t be Pat, or Chris, or...well, Drew, come to think of it.

When it comes to the new and still ambiguous Booth-Brennan-baby family, Hanson’s interested more in looking forward than in looking back.  In one particular respect, there’s a good reason for that: Brennan’s grandfather.  Sometimes he’s the one who got her out of the foster system when she was a kid, and sometimes she claims to have never known him -- depending on what episode you watch.  A red-faced Hanson acknowledges that Grampa Brennan is “one huge hole in the series,” though he does have some ideas as to how to rectify “the goof.”  (Granted, he’s not very enthusiastic about them.)

Even with all these teases, there’s still plenty of mystery floating around...and to Hanson’s credit, it’ll likely stay that way until November.  Kettner’s promised us “plenty of freak-outs” between new parents Booth and Brennan, but heck...with all the anticipation, we’re on the brink of some freak-outs ourselves!
