John Francis Daley’s having no trouble keeping busy this summer. While Dr. Lance Sweets takes a vacation for Bones’ summer (and autumn) hiatus, Daley is actively subbing his “acting” chapeau with a “screenwriting” propeller beanie.

The man behind the star-studded Horrible Bosses — in theaters this Friday, July 8 — has been tapped (along with his co-writer, Jonathan Goldstein) to write the sequel to Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, according to the LA Times.

With the 2009 original raking in $243 million worldwide, Daley has some big shoes to fill — and we wish him all the luck in the world, provided he’s ready to put back on his acting hat when Bones returns in November!
