Last Thursday’s Bones left us pondering the “explainable” (deep stuff!) — and this Thursday’s Bones will leave us wondering why in the hell Booth (David Boreanaz) would pimp out Brennan (Emily Deschanel) for a stolen treasure map. Not classy, man!

On April 21 we meet The Finder, aka Walter Sherman (Geoff Stults), a former Iraqi soldier with an uncanny ability to unearth anyone and anything. Walter is good-looking, top-notch at what he does, and unbelievably blunt.

In the following promo video for the upcoming crossover episode, he asks B&B point blank, “Are you two sleeping together?” After Brennan dismisses his question with a “No,” he changes tack: “Would you sleep with me?” he propositions.

Instead of cutting in and defending Brennan’s honor, Booth quips, “You find the map, maybe you got a shot.” Rude! (He’s just being his sarcastic self, and we love him for it — but someone’s gotta join Brennan in giving him a hard time!)

“The Finder,” the pilot episode for what could become a full-blown Fox series, follows Booth and Brennan to the Florida Everglades, where a maritime museum security guard has turned up dead. But the crime isn’t just murder — a 17th-century treasure map has also gone missing. What’s that smell? Ah, yes — the sweet, job-fueling mix of stupidity and greed.

To solve the crime, Booth seeks out Walter, a guy he knew from his Army Ranger days. With Sherman’s help, as well as that of his colleague Ike Latulippe (Saffron Burrows) and legal advisor Leo Knox (Michael Clarke Duncan), the team gets to the bottom of the mystery. But why does Booth harbor cold feelings toward his former military comrade? Does it have something to do with being a “Catcher” instead of a “Finder”? One thing we do know: If Booth is soliciting Walter’s expertise, he must respect the guy.

Don't miss the crossover action Thursday, April 21, on Fox.
