Last time we checked in on Bones' resident psychopath, Christopher Pelant, he had wandered off to Egypt to chill with his dignitary home boys. But this sinister murderer has left a trail of dead bodies behind him, and it looks like he's back to finish what he started!
In Season 8, Episode 12, "The Corpse in the Canopy," The Jeffersonian investigates the murder of a corpse found in Angela (Michaela Conlin) and Hodgins' (TJ Thyne) bed. And no, these two didn't go on a deranged murder spree –– Pelant just paid them a visit and decided to leave a gift of some weird rose petals in Baby Michael Vincent's crib. Aw, how cute and not at all disturbing!
Naturally, Hodgins wants to go after Pelant guns blazing, but Booth (David Boreanaz) is all about following the rules. You know what that means! Looks like Angie and her man are going to have to launch their own investigation. Expect maggots to be involved.
Meanwhile, the Jeffersonian's nerd squad find out the identity of the murder victim. Who could it be?!
Check out the full synopsis below!
After Hodgins and Angela were drugged and woke up to a bloody corpse hanging in the canopy of their bed and flower petals around their son Michael’s crib, they are forced to believe that Pelant is back for revenge against Hodgins. Although Hodgins wants to go after Pelant directly, Booth knows it’s best to work within the system and not go against protocol.
Meanwhile, as the Jeffersonian team investigates the corpse, they discover the victim was a Special Forces agent working for the world’s biggest supplier of mercenaries, and Angela and Hodgins decide to start an investigation without the rest of the Jeffersonian team for the sake of their family.
