If you had any doubts that Hodgins is ready for fatherhood, prepare to have them squashed.  Fresh from his MasterChef appearance (and full of delicious food, no doubt), TJ Thyne made some choice Bones Season 7 predictions yesterday in a phone chat with TV writer Jim Halterman.

When it comes to Hodgins and Angela’s parenthood, TJ maintains his usual ebullience: “I’m just giddy about it!,” he says. “I’m sure Jack is going to be an uber-excited Dad who does everything wrong in the Mom’s eyes. […] He’ll mess everything up but it will be all because of love.”  So basically, prepare yourselves for lots of “awwww” moments — and a lot of eye-rolls from Angela.

At any rate, TJ has a good reference on how to be a good parent, if he ever needs it. He gives major credit to his mom and dad for sparking and nurturing his interest in the arts at a very young age. “We were very poor growing up and my Dad would save and save, working 6 or 7 jobs, so we could all go to the theater and get a good education and be cultured,” TJ reveals. “I’d be watching Phantom of the Opera with my jaw to the ground. I was like ‘This is what I’ve got to do! I have to do this!’”

Guess we’ll know who he’ll be thanking if he and Bones ever get that Emmy love. Fingerscrossed!
