Something about seeing Booth get dumped made us feel all sad and nostalgic. So for today’s cute Bones moment we’re going back — way back! Like, to the first episode back.

Do you remember the first time Booth and Brennan appeared on screen together? Brennan was being detained at the airport in DC for carrying a skull, and Booth showed up to rescue her. Well, pretend rescue. “That’s the best you can do?” Brennan asks. “Getting Homeland Security to snatch me so you can stage a fake rescue?”

See? Even from the very beginning he was always her knight in shining armor!
