Which Bones Episodes Has David Boreanaz Directed?
We all know David Boreanaz as crack-shot (Agent Seeley Booth), but you may not know that David can skillfully shoot behind the camera, too! David has taken the director’s chair on three FOX network series: Bones, Angel, and The Finder – yet another brainchild of Bones creator Hart Hanson.
Helming the nail-biting Season 7 Finale “The Past in the Present” marks David’s fifth turn behind the Bones camera. His other directorial efforts include:
- Season 6, Episode 11 “The Bullet in the Brain,” in which notorious snipetress The Gravedigger is sniped out herself – due to a bullet to the head (duh).
- Season 6, Episode 16 “The Blackout in the Blizzard,” the one with B & B stuck in an elevator with all that sexual tension and emotional bonding. We approve!
- Season 5, Episode 16 “The Parts in the Sum of the Whole.” This was that super-fun flashback origin story for the Jeffersonian gang – and Bones’ 100th episode!
- Season 4, Episode 14 “The Bones That Foam,” David’s first time directing Bones focused on a pair of drowned newlyweds and their foaming remains. Um, ew.
Looks like we have David to thank for some of our fondest memories of Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and Booth, but after so many years together, it’s no surprise that David has expertly lead the Bones cast through some of our favorite episodes. Co-stars Tamara Taylor (Cam) and TJ Thyne (Hodgins) certainly seem to approve of David behind the camera!
But even actors he doesn’t know well have given David rave reviews for his directing efforts! After helming the The Finder’s Season 1, Episode 8 “Life After Death” the cast gushed over David’s humor, laid back style and willingness to be experimental with a scene. As if we needed one more reason to love David!
