Dr. Sweets is not giving himself a spare moment this summer! From a successful showing of Horrible Bosses to a new sequel-writing assignment to an even newer comedic short film (and all the partying in between), John Francis Daley has been as busy as the proverbial stinging insect. And he’s not finished!
It looks like Daley and co-writer Jonathan Goldstein are set to take up the National Lampoon’s Vacation torch for New Line, the Los Angeles Times reports. The two screenwriters “hope to have Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo reprise their roles for a cameo,” but the movie’s main character will be a grown-up Rusty Griswold, the son of the iconic Clark. No idea who’s going to play Chevy Chase, Jr. yet, but we’re guessing the actor will most likely appeal to the libido of young female adults everywhere. We could be biased but... someone like a young David Boreanaz, perhaps?
