At the Billboard Music Awards back in 2005, Emily Deschanel bored us in a cheap-looking frock and mismatched accessories. She could have taken a fun risk for such a raucous event, but instead opted to wear matronly shoes and a wide low-slung belt.  (We thought we’d left that trend back in 1998.)
