John Francis Daley

Full name: John Francis Daley
Date of birth: July 20, 1985
Hometown: Wheeling, Illinois
Bet you didn't know… John plays keyboard, sings, and writes music for Dayplayer, his band that appeared in the Season 4 finale of Bones.

We will always miss Sam Weir from Freaks and Geeks, but we're glad John Francis Daley joined the Bones team in 2007 as Dr. Lance Sweets. John began his career touring in The Who's Tommy when he was 9. In the years between Freaks and Geeks and Bones, John appeared in The Geena Davis Show, Kitchen Confidential, and Boston Public.

John was born in Wheeling, Illinois, but he grew up in suburban New York while his father acted on Broadway. Because he was constantly working on TV shows, he went to school on sets and never attended a real high school.

A man of many talents, John has a black belt in kung fu; plays keyboard and sings in a band called Dayplayer; and is working on several movies with his writing partner, Jonathan Goldstein, including a biopic about Dennis Lambert for Steve Carell. John's writing talents are currently in high demand, and his upcoming films Burt Wonderstone and Horrible Bosses are getting a lot of attention. We predict this young actor/writer will have conquered Hollywood by the time he's 30.
