Good news, Bones fans! The long-running forensic drama will be back for Season 10 — and it's returning to its original time slot, Mondays at 8 p.m. EST. That means a whole new year of Temperance "Bones" Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz)!
"Over the course of nine seasons, Bones has grown from a hit crime procedural into a beloved pillar of our lineup that resonates with fans in a way that only the best of shows can," says FOX chairman Kevin Reilly in a statement. "Our viewers have embraced Emily, David, and the entire cast and characters of Bones as their very own, and I think they are going to love what [creator] Hart Hanson and [executive producer] Stephen Nathan have planned for Season 10!"
What about those rumors that David would be leaving the show? We wouldn't worry about it. David turned to Twitter to express his excitement over the renewal!
"10 is it," tweets David. "Bring the magic and bring the love for [Bones]. #Back"
"Thank you Kevin Reilly and [FOX] for Season 10," he continues in a second tweet. "Thanks [FOX Chairmen] Dana [Walden] and Gary [Newman], and most importantly to our fans who support us. Better moments to come."
David isn't the only one who's excited! Emily also expressed her happiness over Twitter. "So incredibly thrilled for the season 10 pick up of Bones," she says. "So lucky to do this job!"
Of course, it's likely that Season 10 will be the show's last. But hey, we'll take as much as we can get!
