You know when you’re checking your pants pockets for laundry and you find a surprise $20 bill? One 9-year-old boy in Arizona may have had a similar feeling when he went digging in his backyard for worms and instead dug up a handgun. Not only that, but here's the really scary part: The gun was loaded.
As Huffington Post reports, the boy discovered the stainless-steel .38-caliber revolver just under the ground’s surface in a plastic bag that also contained a single bullet. Police say it appeared that the weapon had been deposited and quickly covered. They have checked the serial number and noted that the gun has not been reported missing.
