Which Gay Icon Says One Direction Guys Are “Probably All Bisexual”?

We don’t know how they do it, but somehow One Direction, and the five guys’ sexuality, continually come up in conversation with some pretty random celebrities. The latest to weigh in on whether or not Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Liam Payne are gay or straight? Gay icon Boy George.

"The odds are one of One Direction must be gay," George tells British gossipers The Daily Star. Boy George got into a little bit of a Twitter feud earlier this year with Liam when Niall wouldn’t take a picture with him for BG’s niece.

Months after calling Liam a “twit” who should be punched, Boy George says that he was just messing with the band’s fans. “I wouldn’t know who One Direction were if they fell on my head. I’m older than them, they should treat me with respect. I blocked all the band, I couldn’t be bothered to hear anything they said but I couldn’t help winding up their fans.”

But before he did, he couldn’t help responding to one fan who wrote “My mum says you’re a horrible old has-been.’ I tweeted back saying: ‘Your mum’s probably an old, fat ugly b----,” George recounts of a particularly sparky tweet.

Back to One Direction’s sexuality, the out-for-awhile George says of the biggest band in the world, whose movie This Is Us hits US theaters today, "I think everyone is a bit bisexual deep down, so the odds are they are probably all bisexual. They're rock stars so it's what you'd expect, isn't it? I'd be disappointed if they weren't."

Harry Styles actually addressed that very question in a recent interview, saying “Bisexual? Me? I don't think so. I'm pretty sure I'm not.” The boys are famous for joking around by tweaking one another’s nipples, planting kisses on each other, and having zero personal space among themselves.

But just a day after the interview went out on Daily Star, and was picked up by various outlets (this one included, obviously), Boy George seems to be singing a different tune. “Lesson, never talk to @Daily_Star and never joke with a journalist or better still trust one from a tabloid! As if I care if anyone is gay!” he tweeted on August 30.

That tweet came just a couple hours after he retweeted a follower's tweet claiming that “at least 3 are gay.” So, you never know with Boy George...
