Is Jenelle Evans’s Boyfriend Nathan Griffith Afraid She’ll Relapse?

It was more than a little traumatizing to see Jenelle Evans go through heroin addiction during Teen Mom 2's fourth season, but the good news? Girlfriend is currently clean, sober, and — to quote Britney Spears — stronger than yesterday, and it's partially thanks to her new baby daddy, Nathan Griffith!

Jenelle and Nathan met and fell in love shortly after she sobered up, and Nathan recently chatted with MTV about what it was like to date someone coming off such a scary addiction. Does Nathan ever worry that Jenelle will relapse? Keep reading, y'all.

"I was kinda scared that she was addicted to heroin, but when I first saw you coping with your life without drugs, I knew you wanted to make a change for yourself," Nathan mused to Jenelle during Teen Mom 2's Season 5, Episode 3 after show. "You wanted to make a better you. Since I've seen you and since I've lived with you, there hasn't been a doubt in my mind that you're gonna relapse. You don't abuse drugs, you don't abuse alcohol."

Jenelle went on to explain that her heroin addiction was an "experimental thing," and that the only reason she kept using was because the withdrawals were too painful.

"Once I got clean I've never felt so great in my life to stay off a drug. It's just insane how it can make you feel. Crazy. I know ultimately if I ever got on heroin again or relapsed, you would probably leave me," Jenelle told Nathan. "I mean, like, it's just everyone would have been affected, not just you. It would have screwed up my whole life again."

Sounds like Jenelle has finally realized that the key to happiness is hugs not drugs. We're thrilled that this girl is doing so well post-addiction, and that she has such a solid foundation with Nathan!
