UPDATE (1/10/18 at 12:45 p.m. ET):

Amid reports Brad Pitt did not spend time with his family over Christmas, the actor is reportedly upset Angelina Jolie took their son, Pax, to the 2018 Golden Globes.

“Angelina went behind Brad‘s back and took Pax to the Golden Globes without the father’s permission,” a source told Hollywood Life.

“Brad was furious that Angelina did not consult him before taking their son Pax to a major, adult event like the Golden Globes.”

The father of six supposedly didn’t even know anything about the 14-year-old attending the show.

“It irritated Brad that he found out, casually from the other children, at the last minute,” the source shared.

“While Brad appreciates that his children get extraordinary experiences in life thanks to their unique family, Brad just wishes that he was kept in the loop for big decisions like award show appearances.”

The source continued, “Brad thinks it is not entirely healthy the way Angelina drags the kids everywhere she goes, so he made it clear to her after the award show that he would appreciate it that he be more informed of future major public appearances for their children.”

Original story (1/3/18 at 11:48 a.m. ET):

Poor Brad Pitt!

Following his divorce from ex-wife Angelina Jolie last year, it seems the actor has not spent that much time with his children.

In fact, the father of six reportedly did not see his kids on Christmas, as they decided to spend it with their mom.

Brangelina — who have Maddox, 16, Pax, 14, Zahara, 12, Shiloh, 11, and 9-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox — have been split since September 2016.

“He was hoping to get some true quality time with the kids over the holiday, but it never quite materialized,” a source told In Touch.

“While he planned on having at least part of Christmas Day with the children, they ended up going with their mom to see the 3D action adventure Jumanji at the ArcLight theater in Hollywood.”

The past two Christmases have not been great for the Fight Club star, who was only allowed supervised visits with his kids last Christmas amid his investigation by the Department of Child Services.

And, though they seem to be trying to work things out for the sake of their kids, it looks like Angie is in control.

“Angie and Brad are still playing tug-of-war with their kids,” another source shared.

“Because they’re not officially divorced yet, Angie’s in the driver’s seat when it comes to getting the children for the holidays, and she’s taking full advantage of that."

Needless to say, the 54-year-old is hoping to get more custody time with his kiddos.

"[He’s] chomping at the bit to get more custody. His Christmas wish is to have equal custody,” the source said.

Meanwhile, the mother of six recently revealed she thought doing a movie with Brad back in 2015 would save their marriage.

"We had met working together and we worked together well...I wanted us to do some serious work together...I thought it would be a good way for us to communicate," the mom of six told The Hollywood Reporter 's podcast of the film By the Sea.

"In some ways it was, and in some ways we learned some things. But there was a heaviness probably during that situation that carried on and it wasn't because of the film."
