Brad Pitt: I Can’t Remember Faces Due to Medical Disorder
Have you ever wanted an excuse for not remembering someone's face? One hunk actually has one.
Brad Pitt says he has a medical condition that prevents him from remembering what someone's face looks like, according to Esquire.
"So many people hate me because they think I'm disrespecting them," he says.
However, he claims his difficulty in remembering faces is due to having face blindness, which is known as prosopagnosia.
"[It's] a mystery to me, man," the Curious Case of Benjamin Button star says. "I can't grasp a face, and yet I come from such a design/aesthetic point of view."
He says he sometimes tries to explain his medical issue to people, but not everyone is sympathetic.
"People were more offended [when I explained my medical situation]," Brad says. "Every now and then, someone will give me context, and I'll say, 'Thank you for helping me.' But I piss more people off. You get this thing, like, 'You're being egotistical. You're being conceited.'"
He says he plans to get tested for the disorder, but in the meantime, he often will "stay at home" to prevent awkward situations.
Still, we doubt there's anyone alive who wouldn't be able to remember Brad's beautiful face.
