The only thing on TV that involves more people ending up in tears than an episode of Real Housewives is a Lifetime movie. So perhaps it's fitting that those two worlds are about to intersect.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Brandi Glanville has never really worked as an actress before, but she has now announced her role in an upcoming Lifetime movie. The movie is called Missing at 17 and will air on October 19th. So set your Tivos!
"Just found out my small part in the Lifetime movie Missing at 17 comes out Oct 19th," she tweeted on September 28. "I'm not an actress, so this should be interesting! :)"
So what's the film about? Well, the title should be somewhat self-explanatory. But in case you want even more info, here's the description from IMDb: "A 17 year-old girl runs away from home to look for her biological mother." To be honest, we're practically on the verge of tears already just from reading that synopsis. Lifetime movies always make us reach for the Kleenex.
As for Brandi, we don't have many details about her role, but we can confirm that she won't just be playing herself, as she did in a 2013 episode of 90210. Instead, her character's name in Missing at 17 is "Erica."
We can't wait to see Brandi's acting debut, and it sounds like Brandi is looking forward to the film coming out as well. "Not sure if I sucked or not but it was fun! :)," she wrote to a Twitter follower.
This could be the start of a whole new career path for Brandi. She also filmed a role with some of her RHoBH co-stars for the spoof film The Hungover Games, which is likely to come out in 2014. But it sounds like she'll be playing herself (or someone very similar) in that one.
So will Brandi's appearance make you want to check out Missing at 17? Or do you not exactly think Brandi should clear any space on her mantle for an Emmy award, if you get our drift?
