Breaking Bad Finale: Bryan Cranston Promises Everyone Will “Hug it Out”
Bryan Cranston, you big kidder! The Breaking Bad star teased the crap out of everyone eagerly anticipating the rest of Season 5 — and the thrilling conclusion! — by implying that there's a pot of hugs at the end of the meth-rainbow.
"I think everyone will be satisfied with the ending where we hug it out!" Bryan, who plays the series pro/antagonist Walter White, said at the TCA Press Tour. Co star Betsy Brandt, who plays Walt's sister-in-law Marie Schrader, added, "[don't] mention the musical numbers!"
Bryan added that Walt finds a "reservoir of joy and he spreads his joy throughout the last eight episodes."
Info-seekers, never fear: series creator/showrunner Vince Gilligan dropped some real intel on the ending! "I am very cautious in my estimation in general of how people will respond to things," he said. "I hope I am not wildly wrong in my estimate that most people are going to dig the ending."
As for that Saul Goodman spinoff, Vince Gilligan and Bob Odinkirk are totally down, but Vince said that "It's for powers bigger than me to figure out if it can come to fruition."
Are you stoked for the Breaking Bad finale? Is there any chance of an actual happy ending (Ha. Ha.)?
