Still curled up in a fetal position recovering from last week’s Breaking Bad episode? Well, you may want to get comfortable because the last two episodes of the series just got an extension.
“I checked & it’s official. Last 2 #BreakingBad eps are 75 minutes each w/commercials. Set your DVRS accordingly. Better still, watch live!” co-executive producer Peter Gould shared via Twitter earlier today (September 18).
Fifteen more minutes? Each?! In Breaking Bad time, that’s like giving Walter White (Bryan Cranston) and Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) a whole extra episode (which, if you’re listening, Peter, we wouldn’t mind in the slightest).
So what should we expect from this additional 30 minutes of Breaking Bad? Well, considering that in last week’s “Ozymandias” we traveled back to Walt and Jesse’s first cook, learned how adorable baby/future Emmy winner Holly White got her name, finished a shootout, mourned Gomie, learned how much money Walt buried in the desert, saw Hank die (still can’t believe that one), almost witnessed Jesse die, and had Walt reveal he watched Jane choke to death ALL IN THE FIRST TWENTY MINUTES we’re going to play it safe and say there’s a barrel’s worth of potential plot twists ahead.
True, that extra 15 minute bump includes commercial time (read: more ads for Low Winter Sun) but hey, an extension is an extension. So settle in, draw the tissue box a little closer, set your DVRs accordingly, and prepare for Sunday night’s 75 minutes.
