We're not sure how we're supposed to feel about Breaking Bad ending this Sunday. Excited, because the finale (Season 5, Episode 16: "Felina") looks like it's going to be amazing? Sad, because one of the best dramas on TV is coming to an end? Scared, because there's probably going to be a bloodbath? We choose D) All of the above.
To help prepare you for the inevitabley epic final installment of Walter White's journey, we've gathered together everything we know about how the show will go out. Short version: With a bang.
Promo: It's All About Change
The promo for the episode, which you can watch below, doesn't give us any new footage. Why would it? But it does give a sense of what to expect, putting the focus on Walter, his journey through the seasons, and his one final promise: "I've still got things left to do."
It's Going to Be Epic — And Epically Long
While the cast and crew have remained completely mute on the details of how the show ends, they've all been perfectly happy to rant and rave about the quality of the closer. Betsy Brandt (Marie) calls it "the perfect ending," Bryan Cranston says it's an "appropriate ending" that's "unapologetic and very Breaking Bad," and Aaron Paul simply states: "You guys are gonna [poop] your pants!"
The best part? Like last week's penultimate installment, the finale will run for 75 minutes with commercials. All the better to blow our minds with, my dear.
What We Know From the Flash-Forwards
We do have one source of info on Walter's finale actions: The show itself. We've seen him in flash forwards buying a load of guns and returning to his destroyed home to get the vile of ricin. Based on what we've seen so far, we have to assume the guns are for taking down the neo-Nazi gang (though how Walter expects to do that as just one man, we don't know). The ricin, on the other hand, is a big questionmark. That's more of an up-close and personal kind of killer. Who does he plan to poison? We suppose we'll find out on Sunday.
