Britney Spears Shares Positive Message 10 Years After Head-Shaving Incident
It has been 10 years since Britney Spears’s head-shaving incident and the pop star seems to be doing better than ever!
In fact, it feels like it has been a lifetime since the 35-year-old’s mental breakdown on February 16, 2007.
To commemorate how far she’s come in the last decade, the mother of two shared a Bible verse on Instagram.
"Love this verse. Something everyone should live by," the singer captioned the photo.
The singer also recently posted a sweet photo with one of her sons and said, “Found this today and realized I'm a very blessed and lucky mommy.”
Back in 2007, the “Stronger” songstress walked into a hair studio in Tarzana, California and asked the owner, Esther Tognozzi, to shave off her hair.
As most of us know, the blonde beauty went ahead and shaved her head herself, then proceeded to attack a paparazzi’s car with an umbrella as she was leaving the salon.
This wasn’t a good time for the diva — she was in the middle of a custody battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline and wasn’t granted visitation rights to see her two boys, Sean and Jayden.
Brit Brit was also placed on an involuntary psychiatric hold in February 2008, and then eight months later her father, Jamie Spears, became her full-time co-conservator.
Thankfully, the “Oops I Did It Again” hitmaker made a triumph comeback and scored a Las Vegas residency show in 2013, all while continuing to put out great music.
The former Mickey Mouse Club member is now dating a hot new man and just released her ninth studio album, Glory, late last year, so we’d say she’s stronger than yesterday.
We’re proud of you for making such a strong comeback, Britney!
