Britney Spears Talks Kids, Smurfs Song & New Album: “People Will Be Surprised”
While we have already had a sneak peak at Britney Spears' new single "Ooh La La," she actually just released the single on Monday's On Air With Ryan Seacrest. The former X Factor judge discussed her single — the first since 2011 — and addressed some rumors while also discussing the song and highly-anticipated album.
Britney addressed recent rumors that she's going to take a residency at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, telling Ryan, "It's quite possible, yes, [but] nothing's confirmed yet." It would be awesome for the singer to get a gig in Las Vegas, joining the likes of Celine Dion and Shania Twain. It would also provide a stable location and life for her sons.
In regards to the new song "Ooh La La," from The Smurfs 2 soundtrack), Britney describes it as "straight-up pop... with a young feel to it." Britney says her sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, will make "adorable" cameos in the "Ooh La La" music video, which makes sense because the revealed that their obsession with The Smurfs inspired her to record the single.
The good news for all you Britney lovers who aren't children and/or a fan of this autotuned ditty? The same might not be true for her upcoming eighth studio album, which she hopes to finish by the end of the year. "I think people will be surprised with this album," Britney teased. "It's going to be really different."
