There's certainly nothing toxic about the success that Britney Spears has been having in Las Vegas. Her lavish performance show debuted earlier this year, and now she has reportedly agreed to extend the run — for a ton of money. Clearly, Britney is a "lucky" gal.
Britney's show at Caesars Palace was set to run through the end of 2015, but the New York Daily News reports that she has agreed to continue performing it for an additional year. That would extend the run through Christmas 2016.
And just how much moolah will Britney make for the additional performances? Reports say that she will pocket a whopping $12 million for the extra year, which is on top of the reported $30 million that she is already making for her initial two-year deal. Each performance lasts 90 minutes, which the singer reportedly lip-synchs through.
"Britney Spears has been a great success for the company and will be extended if she wants to do it, and I cannot see why not," Caesars Palace president Gary Selesner says. "She has been filling out the place every night, and she is enjoying it and is in good health."
"She has a good life, coming in on private jet," Gary continues. "She has a villa upstairs at Caesars and really enjoys it here — so why wouldn't she stay?”
Way to go, Brit-Brit!
Are you surprised that Britney's show has been such a success? And are you hoping to see it?
