Just when you thought Brooke Mueller and Charlie Sheen’s custody battle couldn’t get crazier, they’ve outdone themselves.
The former couple, who split in 2010, have been battling it out since they decided to call it quits on their relationship, but things have been especially volatile between the two in recent months since Brooke completed rehab.
The former couple, parents to twins Bob and Max, are duking it out over their kids, who have been in the care of Charlie’s other ex, Denise Richards, while Brooke has been cleaning up her act.
However, thanks to Charlie’s recent online post, claiming that the Department of Child and Family Services caseworkers’ judgement had been compromised by his “evil and pathetic über loser whore” ex when they considered reinstating his Brooke’s custody of his children, in addition to his grandiose promise of a “reckoning,” topped off with an additional, maniacal rant to TMZ, Brooke has filed a restraining order against the Anger Management star and, according to RadarOnline.com, hired 24/7 security to protect her from what she views as very real threats.
In her application for the restraining order, Brooke writes, “I am extremely scared of petitioner (Sheen) … He does not respect Court orders and he has stated that he has authorized security guards to take the children out of my home regardless of what orders are in place.”
The former reality star goes on to add that Charlie has said “on several different occasions that he has certain law enforcement officers in his back pocket who will do whatever he wants … I believe the Petitioner (Sheen) is a very dangerous man. Petitioner has a lot of connection with people willing to do his dirty business.”
“I have not been alone since hearing Petitioner’s threats as I am fearful that Petitioner will come after me or send someone after me to hurt me. I have hired security guards to stay me commencing (last) Friday.”
While Brooke’s pleas did not sway a judge, who denied her request for the restraining order, her requests are not entirely far-fetched, considering the couple’s history — Charlie pleaded guilty to assaulting her prior to their divorce.
