In a preview clip of Brooks's appearance on next week's Reunion Part 3, Brooks tells Vicki's daughter Briana that he regrets writing a lovey-dovey email to Vicki years ago that Briana inadvertently saw.
"In 2007, when your mother and I first met, you saw an email from me that told your mother — while she was married to Donn — that I loved her," Brooks tells Briana.
"And to ask her to leave Donn for you," Briana replies, which Brooks denies. "I did not [ask her to leave Donn]," Brooks says.
But Brooks does acknowledge that he and Vicki did things that they shouldn't have while she was still with Donn. "The bottom line is, for any child to see that while she's married — and it takes two of us in this relationship, not just one — we crossed the line," Brooks continues.
So what exactly does Brooks mean by having "crossed the line"? It's hard to tell if he is in fact admitting to hooking up with Vicki while she was with Donn, or if he is just copping to the romantic messages.
During last season's reunion, after Vicki had been accusing Gretchen of cheating on her fiance Jeff, Gretchen accused Vicki of cheating on Donn with Brooks. But Vicki told her, "I was doing nothing of the same things [that you were]." Then, this season, Vicki acknowledged that both she and Donn had in fact cheated on each other, but it wasn't clear if that involved Brooks.
The ladies discussed the various cheating allegations again during this week's Reunion Part 2. But we suppose we'll have to wait until next week to get the full story. And as you may have guessed, we hate having to be patient for things.
