As if we needed further proof that everything Lea Michele (Rachel) touches turns to gold, the 27-year-old is now a bestselling author, at least according to a little publication called The New York Times.
NYT places Lea’s Brunette Ambition in the No. 3 spot on its competitive list, describing it as a book in which Lea “reflects on managing a harried life.” We know Brunette Ambition is much more than that, but we’re willing to cut the paper a little slack!
The list, which will appear in the June 8, 2014, issue of The New York Times Book Review, reflects sales for the week ending on May 24, 2014. The fact that Lea nabbed the No. 3 spot is even more impressive when you remember that Brunette Ambition was only just released on May 20. This is BA’s first week on the list, and it appears to be the only book released from May 18-24 popular enough to snag a spot.
The only books above Brunette Ambition — in the No. 1 and No. 2 spots respectively — are Instinct by T.D. Jakes and Grain Brain by David Perlmutter, but they have each been on the list for several weeks already.
Lea has already taken to Twitter to react to this fantastic news, thanking her fans for making it possible. “#BrunetteAmbition is a @nytimes bestseller!! Thank you so much to everyone who made this dream become a reality! ,” she tweeted on May 30, later adding, “So proud to say that I'm officially a New York Times Best selling author! SO AMAZING!!! #BrunetteAmbition .”
Congrats Lea, we’re so proud of you!
