Now that Breaking Bad has been wrapped up for just over eight months, fans have had some time to process the crazy series finale. But in a recent interview with CNN, Bryan Cranston challenges everything you think you know about the final moments of the AMC series. What does he have to say about the potential for more Walter White? Read on to find out!
If you haven’t seen the series finale of Breaking Bad, turn away now!
Just when fans might be settling into the fact that their favorite blue meth-dealing high school chemistry teacher is dead and gone, Bryan is challenging that notion, playing coy when CNN’s Ashleigh Banfield asked him about the supposed death of Heisenberg. Here’s how the interview goes:
CNN: “I’m going to ask you, really, seriously, I wasn’t so sure that you died, I really wasn’t. You’re eyes were open and I thought, ‘What if the police just take him into custody, he gets better, breaks out, and just goes nuts?’’’
Bryan: “Hey, you never saw bags zip up or anything.”
CNN: “Is he dead?”
Bryan: “I don’t know.”
CNN: “No movie? No nothing? No Walter White ever again?”
Bryan: “Never say never.”
Given the fact that Bryan was smirking during the interview, he could totally be pulling a fast one on us. That being said, the ambiguity in which the series ended does leave potential for something crazy to happen, though we think Vince Gilligan is ready to focus solely on the Breaking Bad prequel, Better Call Saul.
