Pretty Little Liars Burning Question: Is Travis Too Good to Be True?

On the most recent episode of Pretty Little Liars (Season 4, Episode 16 — “Close Encounters”), Hanna kissed Travis. And while, yes, she wasn’t being herself and was still grieving over her breakup with Caleb, she seemed to enjoy the kiss, and he did too.

Now, this doesn’t mean Hanna and Travis are going to be a couple anytime soon, but it does imply that these two will be seeing more of each other this season. After all, Travis did say that he wants to get to know her better. But can we trust Travis? We’re starting to think he’s just a little too good to be true.

Think about it: he’s way too similar to Caleb. Yes, it’s possible Hanna attracts bad boy types, but it’s also possible that he was planted by the “A” team, knowing that Hanna would be attracted to him. “A” knows everything about these girls, so we wouldn’t put it past him.

Of course, when we were first introduced to Caleb, we were suspicious of his intentions, too. Being the new guy in a town like Rosewood automatically puts you at the top of our suspects list, but there’s something about Travis — and how much he seems to know about CeCe and her whereabouts — that makes us think he’s hiding something. Oh, and remember when he gave Hanna that big wad of cash to help her mom find a new lawyer? Well, we know who else has been caught with a lot of cash before — EzrA — and look how that turned out.

The timing of his arrival seemed a little too good to be true, as well. It’s possible “A” only wanted to scare Hanna, and therefore, needed a way for Mrs. Marin to get off the hook. This seems likely now that we know Mona never really left the “A” team.

Sigh. We were really starting to like Travis and his leather jackets. It’s always the disarmingly handsome ones that have something to hide in Rosewood.

What do you think, PLL fans: Is Travis too good to be true? Could he be working with the “A” team? Sound off in the comments!
