Ravenswood Burning Question: Which Resident Will Die Next?
Let’s face it: pretty much every character in Ravenswood is at risk of death-by-ghost. That town has some serious devious spirits, but “The Five” — aka the teenagers cursed to meet untimely deaths in exchange for the continued safety of Ravenswood’s soldiers — are particularly vulnerable. Heck, one of them is already dead! Which one might be next? We evaluate their odds below…
Since he's coming from source material showPretty Little Liars, Caleb is the most recognizable and beloved of all Ravenswood characters, which gives him a decided edge in the stay alive department. We think that should keep him relatively safe — for now. Add this to the fact that he technically died for a little bit in the fall finale (before being revived) and his odds of survival only increase. It’s someone else’s turn to die.
Odds of survival: Good.
We love Luke Matheson! Maybe because we feel so bad for this melancholic character. Kid’s having a tough time. He’s not only cursed to die, but is still trying to deal with the death of his father. His mother is currently the chief suspect in the murder, but — from the looks of the spoilers— Luke might soon be taking her place. With all of the other terrible things Luke has going on in his teenage life, we’re not sure if he has the time to die.
Odds of survival: Good.
As Luke’s twin sister, Olivia has also had her fair share of the Matheson family drama to deal with, but she seems to be doing a bit better than her brother in working with the pressure. Perhaps, because she has such a supportive boyfriend in Dillon -- or so she thinks. We found out in the fall finale that Dillon is actually helping the ghosts in their dastardly plan to take down “The Five.” Still, we think he may have been coerced to cooperate, which means Olivia is probably safer for his involvement. If Dillon knows what Team Ghost is up to, he can warn Olivia before anything truly dire happens — or even turn the ghosts’ attentions towards a different member of the gang…
Odds of survival: Fair.
We’re really worried about Remy! She may be the cleverest of the bunch, but she also has a dangerous habit of sleepwalking. We’ve already seen her sleepwalk into the road once, almost getting run down by a car. Her next nocturnal trip could be the end of her. In the synopsis for the winter premiere, we learn: “Remy realizes her dreams may be the best clue they have into understanding the pact, but she unwittingly attracts something that is determined to make sure Remy doesn’t wake up.” Yikes!
Odds of survival: Poor.
Do you think another one of “The Five” will soon fall victim to the town’s nefarious spirits? If so, which one? Share your theories in the comments below!
Tune in to watch how it plays out on January 7, 2014, right after the Pretty Little Liars winter premiere at 8 p.m. ET/PT!
