We’re seriously worried about Alison (Sasha Pieterse). The Pretty Little Liars character is returning to the town where someone already tried to kill her once, her mother was recently murdered, and there is an army recruiting to take her down. Rosewood is more or less an Anti-Ali Zone. But how serious could this really get? On this show, the sky — or is it six feet under? — is the limit. Will Ali die in Season 5? We wouldn’t be that surprised.
No, the show wouldn’t kill her again. Would it be lame to pull the “someone killed Ali” card twice? Yes — which is why we’re less-inclined to believe that the show would kill Alison off a second time. (Well, technically, she faked her death the first time, but you know what we mean.) This show needs to keep things fresh moving into the sixth and seventh seasons and pulling the same stunt it did to start this show might not be the best way to go about doing that. Besides, we’re still not sure if Ali isn’t “A,” the one responsible for all of the killing that has taken place thus far in Rosewood. If so, she may just be the safest character on this show.
Yep, she’s a goner. If Ali isn’t “A,” she’s kind of screwed. Showrunner Marlene King did say that someone “significant” would die this season: “There's one significant biting of the dust this season. One call I won't want to make to an actor. I have to make the calls to tell them they are dead…” When asked if Pretty Little Liars would kill off a “major major” character — specifically any of the Liars, significant others, or parents — she responded, “I could never say never. So Maybe.” That also includes Ali, now that she’s back to being a Liar. Taking into the account that Ali has always seemed to be the main target when it comes to the “A” game, we’re seriously worried that she’s returned to Rosewood. Of course, if “A” doesn’t get her, Mona’s Army might.
She’s already dead. Did we just blow your minds? No, we’re not suggesting Ali is a ghost; we’re just throwing out the theory that Ali is really Courtney, Ali’s twin sister, and the real Ali is already dead. Or something like that. We’re not really sure how this whole twin thing could go down. We’re just saying it’s a possibility. In the books, Ali was the one who killed Courtney, then went on to terrorize the Liars. The TV series has obviously taken its own direction with Ali’s character but don’t think we haven’t noticed that it finds some inspiration in its book source material.
