While she’s certainly been through a lot in the past few months, former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Camille Grammer may find solace in the fact that her ex-boyfriend, Dimitri Charalambopoulos, is being held legally responsible for allegedly abusing her.

Authorities charged Dimitri on Friday, November 23 with assault of a family member and impeding breath, which is a felony in the state of Texas. The 36 year-old reportedly appeared in court yesterday, November 25, and posted a non-arrest bond of $5,000.

According to Camille, Dimitri got physical with her while she was recovering from a hysterectomy after she saw texts and calls on his phone from another woman. While Dimitri denies any physical abuse, Camille insists that her ex grabbed her by the hair, slammed her into furniture, and covered her mouth to cut off her air supply. The reality star has released photos of herself that show red marks on her wrists and face and has since filed a restraining order against Dimitri.

Dimitri says he has now undergone two polygraph tests that prove his innocence and his lawyer, Kirk Lechtenberger, is fighting hard for his case.

“Unfortunately, the Houston Police Department filed a case against Mr. Dimitri Charalambopoulos notwithstanding the fact that no offense ever happened,” Kirk said in a statement over the weekend. “This action is not unexpected considering that, in this day and age, anyone can make up anything and get a charge filed. We look forward to going to trial as soon as possible and clearing this innocent man of this false allegation.”
