But the pace of this show is grueling and, without even wanting to, the 38-year-old mom of three has lost five pounds — so far. We’re approaching Week 6 and it sounds like Candace is trying to stop the scale number from dropping further. "I'm working so much harder [now] that it's important to make sure that I have proper nutrition and to keep my muscles,” she said. “If I'm dancing, the cardio can decrease my muscle if I'm not lifting weights and the last couple weeks I wasn't able to."
She said she keeps her meals balanced by subscribing to the service DWTS provides, Freshology. Candace said she always tries to eat “clean and healthy meals” but the service helps to take the guesswork out of things, especially when she’s exhausted from practices. (Wouldn’t you love to have someone else figure out healthy meals for you like this, and also have DWTS pay for it?)
Interestingly enough, another one of Mark Ballas’s past partners, Katherine Jenkins, said she lost too much weight doing DWTS and she never wants to be that skinny again. It’s that Ballas boy — he’s so high energy he just melts pounds right off his partners. Clone him and sell him in an infomercial!
